Sri Lanka has beaten mighty Australia in a close match at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) today. Australia were 100-0 in 14 overs when Gilly got out in response to Sri Lanka’s modest total of 221.

After that wickets continue to fall in regular intervals and most of the guys got out before reaching double figures. Brett Lee fighted till the end when he bowled out to Jayasurya’s magic ball. Gilly was adjudged man of the match for his firy knock of 83 in just 50 balls. It was not good enough for them to win today’s match.

It was a nice match even though there was not much importance to it as Australia have already entered into the finals. Australia will now face India in the best of three finals beginning from Sunday. I can’t predict who will win as Aussies will surely be back with full energy.
